Welcome to the Calisthenics Discord Server! Below is a brief description on the servers inclusions, topics will be discussed, and importance of each category.


Text Channels

75-dhc

On this text channel, you can find why I started the 75 DHC, what I did prior starting to condition, general rules, and the day-to-day of the challenge. Aside from what is found on the blog, you can find more detailed information on the challenge itself, physical and mental.

Feel free to share your own fitness journey as well! This server was created for those like yourself and I love seeing your stories too. These servers do not discriminate based on age, weight, race, sexuality, gender/identity, etc. If you are not mature enough to handle that, you will be removed. Please keep in mind this is a safe space to understand fitness from the comfort of home at your own pace. If you would like to see how I started and what I do on a daily, feel free to join the chat and keep and eye on daily 75DHC blog postings.

stretches

Simple as it sounds, this chat is specifically for stretching, warm-ups, and getting the blood flowing. Stretching, hands down, is one of the most important part to any workout and in essential to allow the body a full range of motion and prevents tears, strains/sprains, pinching, and soreness. Ever wondered why your muscles feel super tense and fatigued after a workout?- Yes, it is partially due to your workout, but a large part of that is due to lack of/improper stretching.

If you would like to learn more or have question, feel free to leave a chat! Also, feel free to talk to others and share your favorite stretching techniques.

For the ones looking to bulk up their arms, this one is for you. From beginner to extreme workouts, this chat has it all. We make this an open chat community to teach and encourage other to achieve their workout goals. While arms may not be my strong suit, feel free to ask on the chat and we will be more than happy to chat!

My personal favorite- leg workouts, has the best and wide range of information on exercises for your thighs, knees, calves, ankles, and even down to your toes. Most of your power comes from your glutes and legs (for most people), therefore it is so fascinating to learn and understand more about the muscular components of the legs and how to grow different areas. If you would like more information, here is a great source!

One of the most requested workouts (on any platform) is the glute workouts. Well, now you can find all your glute growth needs and questions all in one spot! There will be workouts, stretches, muscle facts, and motivation posted daily. Also, I am on my glute growth journey, so feel free to follow along with me on this journey. Same with the other chat rooms, feel free to share your story as well!

I am going to scream this from the top of the mountains, "HIP, SHOULDER, WRIST, AND ANKLE MOBILITY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF ANYTHING BODY MOVEMENT RELATED!!" Please do not attempt to stretch, exercise, preform yoga, or workout without understanding the basics of your body's mobility.

If you are new to mobility training (like I was) then you have found your gold mine! I will (along with others on the server(s) will be posting content daily sharing our mobility journey, tips & tricks, and general information.


Voice Channels

Morning Talks

Every morning (4:30-5AM Central Time), I will be on the voice chat as a Good Morning to everyone on the server! I will also take this time to answer questions, discuss my workouts, the routines, and how I keep my routine fun. It will be an open chat and I would love to take the time to hear from everyone and be apart of the conversation! Feel free to join everyday during the 75 DHC (till November 20th '23).

I will also be on other channels monitoring chats, responding, and hosting general discussions over a cup of coffee before my morning workout at 5:30-6:00AM. I will be on these channels on and off throughout the day as well, so if you miss the window, don't fret! Shoot a message and I will be there shortly!
